When I was young and cynical I thought I'd reached the pinnacle but there was so much more shit to come Oh I should have seen it coming As I tired of running From my dreams As I tried to play it cool Now Christmas Is upon us And I'm at a loss again that old feeling like an old friend The shit will be with us For as long as there's a Christmas So I won't curse the darkness this time I'll light a candle Even if I can't handle The lies that will be spoken With a smile Another Christmas Not another song that says "this, this is how I feel!" again. I know what you're thinking But hear me out 'til the end If you're weary You're not alone the feeling will pass and find a new home Do you hear me? I know I've no right to say But this is something I've picked up Along the way I'll be young and foolish 'til I'm old and foolish And there'll always be so much more to come So bring it on.

Bills 03:15
Why do bills suddenly appear at this time of year with such vengeance, and why all the cheer? I've enough things to buy they seem to multiply I'm not santa I'm no pie in the sky I wish that I could fly high above the world on a winter night high as a kite like the man we trust with our children, and know that I will deliver But I don't have wings or sleighs and things Just the ones that you get from the shop But I might get it right If I keep the end in sight and hope for A silent night

I'm dreaming of a green one I don't mean mistletoe I don't mean christmas trees either And I don't even mind the snow I mean an evergreen That bends with the flow If you ever saw it You would even say it glows Angels we have heard, high Sweetly singing o’er the plains And the mountains in reply Echoing their joyous strains Angels we have heard, high Softly singing o'er the dub And the mountains in reply Say pack that bowl, load it up If I go up in a puff of smoke this Christmas Like wise men long ago Don't wake me from my stupor I'll be more awake than you will know

about

It's that time of the year again! And it's one of the years I've bothered to put songs together, in a festive frenzy.
